I am a Psychotherapist who works with adults and elders. As a Psychotherapist, Pastoral Minister and Registered Nurse, my work is holistically based, addressing the mind, body and spirit. The therapeutic environment in which I work is interactive, accepting and empathic. This creates a safe, confidential environment in which you can begin to know yourself better including your deepest needs and desires with a goal of living your life to the fullest.

My graduate work is in Clinical Social Work and Theology at Boston College. My undergraduate work is in Social Work at Bridgewater State College and Nursing at Massasoit College in Brockton. In addition, I hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Trauma from Boston University. As a Pastoral Minister volunteer, I have visited the ill, home-bound and those at the end of life in home or hospital for 11 years.

My specialty areas are in stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, acute and chronic illness, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, spirituality, anxiety and depression, ACOA, and elder issues.

I accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Out of Network Insurances, and Private Pay along with a clinical discount if needed.

Maureen Walsh – Grief Weavers

Maureen Walsh, RN, CT received her BS in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in 1976. She has worked in both in-patient and outpatient settings providing care across the lifespan. She worked as a school nurse and health educator for 14 years and has lectured throughout the Boston area on teenage health issues. While working as a school nurse she coordinated Rainbows the school’s bereavement program. In 2006 Maureen received her Certification in Thanatology and together with Emily Lazar, MS, CT, founded Grief Weavers, LLC a practice for individual, couples and groups designed to facilitate the grief process by providing an environment in which bereaved persons can acknowledge, understand, and integrate grief and loss into their lives. Maureen is the author of The Grief Weavers, a Tale of Hope and Lessons of Life and Loss, a bereavement program for children. Maureen sees clients in private practice and also offers educational programs tailored to meet the needs of schools, hospitals and communities seeking to increase their awareness and understanding of grief.

Grief is the journey no one ever wanted or planned on taking. Maureen serves as a companion on each client’s unique grief journey. In addition to sharing their stories, Maureen will often help clients create memory projects such as pillows, quilts, stories, and scrapbooks to help them weave the loss into their lives. When working with children, Maureen tries to help them develop healthy coping skills that can be utilized not just in grief but throughout their whole lives.  Maureen sees clients at Hope Floats on Fridays.
