Carol Metral

Carol T. Metral, RN, BSN is a pioneer in the healthcare industry with over 40 years of experience in traditional and non-traditional settings.  Carol is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing and has worked in medical, surgical, and emergency care in hospitals and most recently in private practice.  Since 1998 her focus is on holistic nursing and energy-based healing treatments including Healing Touch, Reiki, and Raindrop Massage. She maintains national certifications in holistic nursing and Healing Touch, as well as medical and emergency nursing.  Carol’s vast experience, guided by the philosophy of Florence Nightingale, has strongly influenced her passion and commitment as a patient advocate, helping many people navigate safely through the traditional medical system.  Carol’s goal is simple but powerful:  “It is vital to create a calm environment, both externally and internally, that supports each individual in their own healing journey.”  Her passion for patient advocacy and demand for her knowledge has lead to speaking engagements, lectures, and classes in holistic and traditional nursing as well as self-care strategies.
